Data we collect

Scrabbleguru (scrabbleguru.com) collects anonymous data using Google Analytics to measure, collect, analyze and report visitors data for purposes of understanding and optimization.

Data we process

• Location of the user (through anonymized IP addresses)
• Date and time
• Title of the page being viewed
• URL of the page being viewed
• URL of the page that was viewed prior to the current page
• Screen resolution
• Page load time
• Country, region, city
• Main Language of the browser
• User Agent of the browser

We do not store any cookies. All of the data that is persisted between page reloads is stored in the local storage, i.e. stored locally in your browser and not transmitted to any parties.

Our legitimate interests

Processing data such as screen resolution is helping us identify what types of devices etc. our main user base is using. Collecting data through Google Analytics helps us identify if our Scrabble word finder is engaging or not and how we can organize the structure of the website better. Both, you and us are benefitting from this because we can improve things like the usability of our page.

Monetization

Currently, this website is not monetized. However, should we see our server costs exceed certain thresholds we might display advertisements in the future.

Of course we will inform you about this change on our Discord server. You can then give us feedback so we make the experience the least intrusive we possibly can.
